Youth Competency Based Training and Internships Program

Mada Association in partnershop with WeWorld and the Lebanese Observatory for Workers and Employees Rights (LWRO), under the “SAFE: Sustainable Agri-Food Economy for refugee and local communities in vulnerable governorates of Lebanon” project is launching a Competency Based Training (CBT) and internshop program targeting youth in Akkar and North Lebanon. The program aims to ehnance technical, practical and soft skills of youth to access employement opportunities in the agri-food sector.

The “SAFE” project is funded by the European Regional Development and Protection Program (RDPP III) for Jordan and Lebanon, which is supported by Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, the European Union, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

The program aims to enhance the technical, practical and soft skills of youth to access employment opportunities in the agri-food sector.

Conditions of Participation:

• You must be between the ages of 16 and 35 years old
• You must be living in the following municipalities: Mhammara, Bebnine, Jdeidet Qaytaa, Tal Hayat, Borj El Arab, Berqayel, Fneidek, Ain Dahab, Bhanine, El Hissa, Btermaz, Sfireh or Tripoli.

What the program offers:

1. Competency Based Training

You will receive approximately 15 theoretical and practical sessions that will prepare you to meet the needs of the current labor market under the agri-food sector. The topics that will be provided include the following:

• Dairy Production
• Livestock Breeding
• Greenhouse Management
• Harvest and Post-Harvest
• Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Urban Agriculture and Small Gardens
• Seeds Extraction, Nurseries and Composting.
• Food Safety, Preservation and Processing

In addition to sessions on soft and business skills and decent work conditions, PSEA and Safeguarding.

1. Internship

Upon completing the CBT, you will be placed in a 40-day internship within agri-food entities supported by the project. These on-the-job experiences offer professional experience, soft skills, and potential job offers. Internships come with daily allowance and transportation remuneration. Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with hosting entities will ensure a decent and valuable experience for you.

برنامج التّدريب المهنيّ والعمليّ وتأهيل الشّباب لسوق العمل

تطلق جمعية مدى بالشراكة مع جمعية ” وي وارلد “ والمرصد اللبناني لحقوق العمّال والموظّفين ,(LWRO)  في إطار مشروع  : SAFE”الاقتصاد الزراعي الغذائيّ المستدام للمجتمعات المحلية واللاجئين في المحافظات الهشّة في لبنان , “برنامج التّدريب القائم على الكفاءة والتدريب العملي الذي يستهدف الشباب في عكار وشمال لبنان. يهدف البرنامج إلى تعزيز المهارات التقنية والعملية والشّخصية للشّباب للوصول إلى فرص العمل في قطاع الأغذية الزراعيّة. يتم تنفيذ  مشروع ”SAFE” بدعم مادي من البرنامج الأوروبي الإقليمي للتنمية والحماية لدعم الأردن ولبنان  (RDPP III) وهو مبادرة أوروبية مشتركة بدعم من النمسا، جمهورية التشيك، الدنمارك، الإتحاد الأوروبي، ايرلندا، هولندا وسويسرا.

شروط المشاركة:

• يجب أن يتراوح عمر الشباب بين 16  و 35 سنة
• يجب أن يكون المشاركون مقيمين في البلديات التالية: محمرة، ببنين، جديدة القيطع، تل حياة، برج العرب، برقايل، فنيدق، عين دهب، بحنبن، الحيصة، بطرماز، سفيرة أو طرابلس .

يقدم البرنامج:

التّدريب القائم على الكفاءة

سوف تتلقى ما يقارب ال 15 جلسة تدريبية نظرية وعملية من شأنها إعدادك لتلبية ا حتياجات سوق العمل الحالية في إطار قطاع الأغذية الزراعية. تتضمن الموضوعات (الدورات) التي سيتم تقديمها ما يلي:

• إنتاج مشتقات الحليب
• تربية المواشي
• إدارة البيوت البلاستيكيّة
• الحصاد وما بعد الحصاد
• النباتات الطبية والعطرية، الزراعة المنزلية والحدائق الصغيرة
• استخراج البذور، المشاتل والتّسميد
• سلامة الأغذية وطرق حفظها وتصنيعها

بالإضافة إلى جلسات حول المهارات الحياتيّة والمهنيّة وشروط العمل الائق والحماية من الاستغلال والإنتهاط الجنسيين وسياسة الحماية.           

التّدريب العمليّ

عند الانتهاء من التّدريب، ستلتحق بتدريب عمليّ لمدة 40 يوماً داخل المؤسسات الزّراعيّة والغذائيّة التي يدعمها المشروع. ستسمح لك هذه التّجارب العمليّة باكتساب خبرة مهنيّة ومهارات شخصيّة وإضافة خبرة إلى سيرتك الذاتيّة وربّما توفر لك عروض في المؤسّسات. يتضمن التّدريب العملي بدلًا يوميًا وبدل مواصلات، وتضمن مذكرات التفاهم مع المؤسسات المستضيفة اكتساب خبرة مهنية قيمة وملائمة للشباب المشاركين.
