Qorras - كرّاس

تركز كراس على جمع وإنتاج ونشر المعرفة بمعناها العريض، فتأتي مقاربتها لسائر المجالات دعماُ لهذه المعرفة. ومن هذا المنطلق تعمل كراس على ما يلي:

- أشكلة التجربة الذاتية والشخصية، فننطلق ممّا نعرفه عن واقعنا لنؤطره ونحلله في السياق الجمعي والجماعي والمجتمعي، وذلك بالتقاطع مع سائر السياقات، القريبة منها والبعيدة.

- خلق مساحات تفاعلية وبناء مشاريع تبني على مبادرات المجتمع المدني والمؤسسات المنتجة للمعرفة والجهات الفاعلة في المنطقة، فنكمّل ونسد ثغرات نراها أساسية. يهمّنا بشكلٍ خاص خلق فضاء يزخر بالحوارات والنقاشات والمحاججة، فضاء يسعى لاستكشاف وتجربة سبل جديدة ومتنوعة ومبتكرة وإبداعية لإنتاج ومشاركة المعرفة.

- إعادة الإعتبار للرحلة في الإنتاج المعرفي. يتضمّن أي عمل منتَج مخرجاً نهائياً من جهة، ورحلة الوصول إليه (الآلية) من جهة ثانية. وغالباً ما يتم التركيز على المخرج النهائي وإهمال الرحلة، مما يغيّب عمل الكثيرين لمصلحة القيادات الفردية أو لمصلحة الفئات والهويات المهيمنة أولاً، ويحصر القدرة على العمل بيد القلة المتمكنة والمتمرسة والإحترافية ثانياً، ويضعف الحراك عبر إضعاف إمكانية النقد البناء ثالثاً. تسعى كراس لإعادة الإعتبار للرحلة. نرى في الآليات جزء لا يتجزأ من الرحلة النسوية والحقوقية، إذ لا يستوي حراك جاهل بنفسه. من هنا نودّ العمل على توثيق رحلة كراس (كما سواها من المبادرات) وتأريخها بهدف المساهمة في تطوير المعرفة بالآليات.

- النشر بهدف الإنتشار. بقدر ما يهمنا أن يأتي إنتاجنا على قدر عالٍ من الجودة والإحترافية والأخلاقية، يهمّنا أيضاً أن يصل إنتاجنا للمهتمّين/ات والمعنيين/ات. بالتالي نريد لإنتاجنا أن يكون متاحاً (لغوياً وتكنولوجياً وخطابياً) وممتعاً. من هنا إهتمامنا أن نستكشف آليات ومنصات وأساليب جديدة أو نادرة الإستخدام.

لا نسعى لبناء شبكات دعم هوياتية على وجه التحديد، إلا أنّنا نرى أنّ المعرفة التي لا تخدم أحداً لا معنى لها وأنّ أي عمل نظري منسلخ عن أي مجموعة على أرض الواقع لا يقدّم ولا يؤخّر. لا نسعى للعمل مباشرةً في المناصرة والعمل المطلبي، إلا أنّنا نسعى لأن يفيد العمل المطلبي عبر التدعيم والتطعيم والتوثيق والنقد، كما نرى أنّ العمل المطلبي، بما ينتجه من تأثير على الرأي العام، أداةً قويةً لضمان تحقيق وتكريس التغيير الإجتماعي المنشود.

Qorras focuses on collecting, producing, and disseminating crucial knowledge in the broader sense of the word, all other approaches come to feed this main goal. As a result, Qorras works on the following:

- To theorize personal and subjective experiences, basing the work on one’s knowledge of their reality, contextualizing it at the collective, communitarian, and social levels, and intersecting it with other contexts.

- To build on the work of others, whether in civil society, knowledge production initiatives, or others in the region. Qorras aims to complement their work and not to replicate it. Qorras sees thought, language, knowledge and the conditions of their production as plastic and dynamic as opposed to rigid and fixed. It relies on constant reassessment and self-reflection by opening itself up to questioning, discussion and debates, and by exploring new methodologies for producing and sharing knowledge.

- To document processes. The final product often gets the most attention in civil society work, often at the expense of the process and journey. As a result, individual leaderships and dominant identities get the most representation and credit; gatekeepers arise among the most privileged, experienced, and professional activists; and the movement is weakened by the absence of criticism on the basis of processes and rights within the movement. Qorras wants to bring back the process, which we consider to be an integral part of our movement. That is why, we want to document the journey of Qorras (as well as others) and contribute to our collective knowledge of the process.

- To disseminate creatively. Qorras aims to publish work that is professional, ethical, and of high quality. However, we do want our work to be accessible and interesting. For this reason, we want to explore new (or uncommon) ways, approaches, platforms, and media.

Qorras does not aim to organize identity-based communities, but we strongly believe that a product that does not serve, or anchor itself in, a community is obsolete. Qorras will not work on advocacy, but its work will be done with the aim of serving such work, by reinforcing, enriching, documenting, and critiquing it. We also believe advocacy is a powerful tool to achieve social change, particularly through its influence on public opinion.
