Focused Psycho Social Support (FPSS) Facilitator for Children

The René Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking to recruit a “Focused Psycho Social Support (FPSS) Facilitator for Children” for “Alternatives to Combat Exploitive Child Labour through Empowerment and Sustainable Services – ACCESS-Lebanon” Project supported by RDPP Lebanon in partnership with Plan International.

Major Responsibilities: 

• Facilitate FPSS sessions with children and adolescents in one of the three areas; Akkar, Tripoli, Zahlé;
• Attend training and capacity building opportunities;
• Plan and prepare logistics for FPSS activities;
• Full coordination with the project officer to ensure proper implementation of the project;
• Plan, organize and run activities with children and adolescents while facilitate and encourage their participation;
• Ensure activities run in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of the project;
• Ensure that children and adolescents in need are all involved in the activity;
• Deal with difficult behaviors (conflict, aggressiveness, introversion) and understand the reason behind the behavior to positively communicate with the situation.
• Ensure that children and adolescents under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of Harm or stress during the activities;
• Collect data on the activities organized and ensure that all the relevant forms are duly filled;
• Identify key protection issues or threats affecting children and adolescents and raise them to the project officer;
• Refer protection and GBV cases to the case workers of the project;
• Ensure all project means of verifications (MOV) including attendance sheets, pre posttests, evaluation documents… are in place.
• Fill and archive specific forms for referrals and weekly reporting, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness.

Professional Standards:

All RMF staff are required to adhere to the RMF policies and practices with respect to child protection minimum standards, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience as FPSS facilitator;
• Candidates must have skills in working with children and adolescents;
• High integrity in social interactions;
• Knowledge of Child Protection/GBV, life skills, and parenting programs; and
• Knowledge on how to communicate with vulnerable population groups, such as women, children, youth, elderly, disabled and refugees

Period of Employment: 132 sessions ranging between 1 February 2025 – 30 October 2026

Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Education Degree: Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences or any other relevant field.
