RDFL is seeking for a qualified Focused Psychosocial Support (FPSS) Facilitator based in

Tripoli for the project “Community-driven urban recovery of neighborhoods in Lebanon”.

 The focused Psychosocial Support activities Facilitator has the knowledge and practical

skills to carry out focused psychosocial support activities with women at high risk of

vulnerability.

 The focused PSS activities will be carried out in line with individual organization and

interagency guidelines.

 The intention of this position is to build the resilience of most vulnerable women and

girls through psychosocial support activities. The FPSS facilitator implements the

activities in a manner that leaves considerable positive impact on women and girls and

promote their wellbeing.

Planning and Implementation:

 Support the outreach teams in mapping and assessing women to attend Focused PSS

activities.

 Assess the main similar needs / issues faced by the targeted community group of women.

 Develop an action plan of PSS activities, topics and other type of interventions with the

group based on a “Group intervention approach”.

 Implement these sessions on a periodical manner and evaluate each session with the

women as well as with the project coordinator.

 Revise sessions according to each feedback/evaluation and constantly adapt approaches

and exercises.

 Ensure women and girls under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of harm

or stress during the activities.

 Ensure that all activities are done in an appropriate location in line with the minimum

safe and friendly standards.

 Plan and identify materials and any kind of support required for every intervention on

weekly basis.

 Ensure that the beneficiaries who need specific medical or nutritional care are referred to

the appropriate organization.

 Suggest modifications of sessions and exercises in order to adapt to changes occurring in

the work environment, based on the feedback of the women.

 Represent RDFL in relevant MHPSS trainings and in the field visits at sites of

intervention with donors and line managers.

 Establish a calendar/agenda for intervention for each group of women or girls concerned.

 Be able to identify women at risk of harm or being harmed and being able to refer them

as per the RDFL procedures.

 Verify the beneficiaries list and presence. 

 Attend weekly, monthly and urgent meetings with team.

 Be able to provide a correct use of guidelines, tools, material and activities once agreed

with technical team.

 Ensure effective engagement of women with disabilities in the PSS activities.

Reporting:

 Regularly provide field reports, protection monitoring reports and reports related to

project progress to your project manager.

 Assist in analyzing the data collected and reports both quantitatively and qualitatively.

 Provide information about progress when required.

 Ensure a daily proper recording of data (# of women, girls, activities delivered, etc.).

Organizational Policies:

 Respect RDFL’s Global Code of Conduct (GCD), Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP),

Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy (PSEA) and Policy on Gender and

Diversity, ensuring the policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the PSEA

Focal Point with any information regarding potential breaches of the policy.

 Is aware of, abide by and promote the practices and values set out in all other RDFL

policies and procedures.

 Participates actively in weekly and monthly coordination meeting with the project

managers.

 Ensures Do No Harm analysis are carried out and the principle of Do No Harm is

observed and upheld in all the engagements of the FPSS Facilitator.

 Undertakes all other duties that may be requested by the project manager and that are

compatible with the job. 

Job Qualifications:

 Education: Psychology, Sociology, or any other related field

 Experience: At least 2 years’ experience working with women and preferably high-risk

women and/or refugee/vulnerable population

 Strong facilitation and organizational skills

 Motivated-and ability to work in a team

 Strong interpersonal skills

 Excellent communication skills (including active listening)

 Self and time management

 English and Arabic

 Driving liscence
