About the training

Do you have culinary talent, an enterprise mindset and a passion for cooking? 

Join Bedayati’s culinary entrepreneurship training in partnership with Kiri, designed to help you launch or expand your food business.

You will have the chance to learn from industry experts, network with accomplished food entrepreneurs, and benefit from Kiri’s expertise in the sector. 

Training topics:

Training topics will include:

- The Fundamentals of entrepreneurship planning for the food business; 

- Market research; 

- Writing a business plan; 

- Marketing techniques; 

- Managerial skills; 

- Cost control and inventory management; 

- Pricing profit and loss calculation, 

- Purchasing; 

- Food menu engineering; 

- Bookkeeping; 

- Business presentations; 

- Norms and standards for the food industry. 

Participants who complete the training will have the opportunity to develop a business plan and pitch their culinary business idea to a jury of industry experts. The best ideas will receive financial grants of up to $1,000,  technical coaching and mentoring, and visibility on Bedayati and Kiri platforms. Five days in a row, five hours a day, is the training schedule.

Duration

The training will take place over 5 days from 17-21 July (10:00-14:00). 

Location

Bedayati Skills Training Center in Caracas, Beirut.

Elegibility Criteria:

The selection criteria for the entrepreneurship training are as follows:

- Adults and youth ages 18+

- Living in Beirut or nearby areas

- Business idea/ motivation to set up a business in the culinary sector

- Enterprise mindset and motivation to be self-employed

- Previous experience/training in the culinary sector
