Go To Market Consultant– ACT Smart Innovation Hub

Context & Background

 

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

 

The Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:

  1. An innovation with scientific or technological focus in the Cleantech sector.
  2. The possibility to scale beyond the local market.
  3. The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally.

Scope of work

 

The Accelerator Program seeks to empower the entrepreneurs to build their go to market strategies, understand their competitive landscape and position themselves and develop their market testing plan. The selected candidate will be required to deliver 4 in-person/online 3-hour Go-To-Market Workshops and 7 one on one sessions with each of the 12 startups covering the following:

  • Support the startups in creating or refining their initial business model that will help guide their next steps.
  • Help startups identify their beach head market and plan their pilot launch (if not launched yet).
  • Support the startup in creating target persona, potential early adopters and filling the market need.
  • Provide knowledge and support in identifying gaps in the market.
  • Help the startup in identifying their competition and how to position themselves relative to it.
  • Help startups assess their current market and go-to-market strategy (if already in market).
  • Help the startups identify relevant market penetration approaches and market channels.
  • Guide the startups in defining go to market success metrics.
  • Guide the startups in developing their market testing plan.
  • Enable startups with the tools and frameworks to plan their launch or expansion.
  • Guide the startups towards developing collaborations and partnerships to serve their go to market plan.

 

Deliverables:

  • Four in-person/online 3-hour Go-To-Market Workshops.
  • 7 one-on-one sessions for 12 startups (total of 84 sessions), to be delivered between May and September 2024. The duration of each session is 45 minutes.
  • Workshop material (PowerPoint presentation)
  • Feedback on the progress of each startup after each clinic
  • Final report on each startup

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a startup or in a startup environment.
  • Previous experience working with cleantech businesses or startups is a plus.
  • Possess strong professional credentials and go to market knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrates strong communications skills and professional credibility to influence entrepreneurs

In the financial proposal please consider sharing the unit price of each workshop and each one-on-one session in addition to the total amount.

The selected consultant will be required to sign a one-year blanket purchase agreement with Berytech as part of their contractual obligations.
