Kayany Foundation - 4 Trainers - STEAM Education

Provision of STEAM Education and Robotics: STEAM & Robotics is the intersection of science, engineering, and technology. This course will help students use knowledge they have learned in their sciences and math courses by putting theory into practice in order to produce final projects that can be used by them. The program will focus on hands-on learning with real-world applications. This activity will be provided for 50 students in grades 8 and 9 (14-16 years old) during the summer break. In STEAM education, students are taught skills aim to equip them with basic competences which will help to: (1) enhance student involvement, (2) facilitate comprehension, (3) promote student-to-student interaction, (4) work on academic skills, (5) enhance communication skills for academic purposes and (6) equip the students with knowledge, practical tools and skills that can benefit them in their daily life and can help them at university or in their career in the future. 50 students enrolled in grades 8 and 9 who did not previously participate in STEAM & robotics program will be selected to join this program. The 50 students will be divided into two groups (25 students per group), the groups will be divided according to the module the students choose where one group will choose to do the 3D design and 3D printing while the other group will choose Electronics and coding microcontrollers. The number of hours required to complete each module is 36 hours. At the end of the project, the students will work together in groups to produce a final project of their choice.
