NVC & Martial Arts Training in North Lebanon

INJAZ Lebanon is seeking proposals from a highly qualified and experienced trainer who has the necessary qualifications and experiences in both Martial Arts and Non-Violent Communications (NVC) to deliver a training program to youth in Tripoli, North Lebanon. The program comes in response to growing concerns over the increasing trend of violent incidents in some communities & seeks to challenge the common misconception that Martial Arts promote violence, especially in children, by highlighting the fact that Martial Arts are rooted in nonviolent conflict resolution. The program will also incorporate the principles of nonviolent communication (NVC) to teach communication skills based on empathy and nonviolence.

The training aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. Increase knowledge and understanding of non-violent conflict resolution and communication skills among participants.
2. Improve the ability of participants to control strong emotions and reactions.
3. Increase self-esteem and decrease aggressive behavior. 
4. Greater awareness of inclusion needs and GBV issues.
5. Improved social, intellectual, and emotional well-being of participants.

Scope of Work: The approach should be youth centered, interactive, experiential & engaging. Curriculum should be built to be given in around 15 hours over a period of 5-6 days over a three week period. And should cover following main topics:

1. Nonviolent communication.
2. Persuasive communication.
3. Martial Arts.
4. Gender-Based Violence.
