Learning Module Creator – Advanced SOGIESC

Desired Outcome: The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with advanced knowledge and examples on concepts of Gender Identity, Gender Expressions, Sexual Characteristics, and Sexual Orientation. It seeks to explain the historical progress of Gender Expression and address the specific relationship between Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation as well as provide a general idea about different gender identities and groups around the world and their relation to cultural and social contexts. The workshop provides a safe place for participants to ask questions and discuss ideas and beliefs while simultaneously learning about the different challenges faced by the LGBTQ community. After completion if the training the participants will be able to reflect on personal and general topics of norms related to gender and sexuality; define and differentiate concepts of Gender Identity , Gender Expressions, Sexual Characteristics, and Sexual Orientation; understand the progress of gender expression through history; identify the relation between Gender Identities and Sexual Orientation; identify different groups of Gender identities in different regions in the world; and indicate the issues and stigma that the LGBTQIA+ individuals face in their community  and outside it.

Key Concepts: Sexuality; SOGIESC; body diversity and autonomy; identity and belonging; attraction and relationships; cultural, societal, and legal understandings of gender; terminologies and engagement; discrimination, stigma, and fear.

Deliverables:

• Create and curate workshop content suitable for full day, 8-hour training to be done in person and/or online.
• Create a comprehensive and clear set of slides, graphs, and audio-visual material to accompany the workshop.
• Provide meticulous presentation notes and/or toolkit for trainers and facilitators including references for materials as well as tips and guidance on how to answer questions.
• Provide a complete and comprehensive addendum materials and further reading for each of the workshop’s concepts to be provided in print and digital format.
• Provide a comprehensive agenda reflecting the content and optimal division of information of the workshop.
• Provide monitoring and evaluation tools for the efficiency of each workshop including and pre and post-tests as well as other tools when and if necessary.
• Provide a clear and comprehensive course description / summary of each workshop to be utilized in promotional material.
• Accompany a graphic designer in the creation of all audio-visual material for the workshop including the power point presentation, addendums, and other materials.

Ensure all afore-mentioned workshop content is correctly translated into Arabic through meticulous review of all translations.
