Call for Participation - "Forward" Youth Exchange in Hungary (9-17 December 2022)

Chabibeh Sporting Club is looking for young people living in Lebanon aged between 18 and 25 to participate in the "Forward" youth exchange in Hungary from 9 to 17 December 2022. 

This Youth Exchange is focusing on developing young people’s skills and shaping their attitude especially those connected with active citizenship, social sensibility and communication. With this Youth Exchange we seek to improve the level of key competences and skills of young people with a special attention to the communication and social and civic skills. We believe that with this intercultural project we can contribute to the development of the partner organisations as well as the European dimension of youth work. We promote the importance of international co-operations in the youth field and promote the possibilities of mobility activities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme. After participating in this Youth Exchange, participants will be able to recognise the meaning of political decisions and form their own opinions in topics such as human rights, social problems or cooperation in a structured way.

The project’s objectives are:

• to understand the meaning of decision-making process and active citizenship;
• to cooperate – to find the best way for working together;
• to provide opportunity to learn about the law-making process;
• to understand the importance of human and fundamental rights and diversity in our societies;
• to provide opportunity for young people to experience intercultural learning;
• to understand young people’s personal role in the creation of democratic world by respecting values as tolerance, equity, freedom and diversity;
• to disseminate information on decision-making process, critical thinking and structured dialogues in their local reality.

FORWARD is going to be built upon non-formal educational activities with which the participants will have a chance to understand the concept of active citizenship and its core values, to get an insight into the institutions and decision-making mechanisms and to explore young people's role inside it. The project will put a special focus on "PARTICIPATION" with the goal to foster understanding about its importance and encourage youth to raise awareness by taking action on the topic. FORWARD targets young people between the age of 18 and 30 from countries where the form of governance and the political situation is different. The project welcomes applicants with diverse religious, cultural, linguistic and economic backgrounds.

The youth exchange will take place between 9-17 December 2022 in Hollókő, Hungary. There are 6 countries involved in this project: Hungary, Spain, Turkey, Armenia, Lebanon and Morocco. Travel budget is 360 Euros for Lebanon. Visa and visa related costs are covered.
