Position: Finance Officer
Location: GUPW Listening Center in Ein Al Helweh Camp
Reports to: GUPW Listening Center Coordinator
Work type: Part-time/ Four days per week
Salary: 600 USD/month paid in dollars
Duration: From 1st September till 31st December 2022 with possible extension subjected to program continuity and funding.

Key Responsibilities:
- Performing accounting data entry of daily transactions on a timely basis.
- Performing monthly reconciliations of Bank and cash accounts.
- Fulfilling the procurement needs of the center.
- Communicating with the bank suppliers, and other parties for the facilitations of operations.
- Preparing Financial Reports as per MAP UK’s Requirements.
- Preparing supporting documents (Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, Bank Letters, …etc.) per MAP UK’s Requirements.
- Ensuring proper handling of cash disbursement transactions.
- Acting as a custodian for cash funds and any other equivalent items.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of accounting transactions in line with the GUPW’s and MAP UK’s policies and procedures.
- Preparing annual plan for the development of projects in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
- Preparing Budgets for projects expected to be approved by the donors for their implementation.
- Providing discretionary budgets for each project to make the necessary analysis
- Working part time (4 days per week).
- Participating in all trainings offered by GUPW.
- Providing management with periodic reports on different programs.
- Performing Analytical comparisons for projects at the level of each item of discretionary items with the actual programs and study deviations and their causes with the coordination with the financial management of the association,
- Supporting with any guidance or other responsibilities assigned by the director of the association.
- Working on continuous development to keep up with the latest modern technologies that serve the development of work.
- Filing and Archiving of Journal Vouchers, Agreements and other relevant documents.
- Any other tasks required by the job.
Job Specific Skills:
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures and with bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounting information systems
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Aptitude for numbers
Languages:
- Fluency in Arabic and English with excellent verbal and written skills.
Education Degree Details:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related Fields.
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in a similar position
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping on an accounting information system
