PR 104135 - Engineering consultancy for bid review - Intent to bid

Mercy Corps launched a tender for the supply and delivery of several machines for different MSMEs – the tender includes specifications for the items needed. The tender includes 42 machines (including filling machines, sealing machines, labelling machines, cutting machines, mixers, stainless steel tables and containers, packing machines, shrink machines, essential oil extractors) for 13 MSMEs.

Accordingly, Mercy Corps posted the tender to collect bids from different suppliers and will receive bids applying to supply the machines required.

The tasks required from the service provider are:

1. Attend the bid opening session to review the bids submitted by the applicants/suppliers. During the bid opening session, the service provider will compare the specifications of the submitted machines with the specifications required at the tender level. For this purpose, Mercy Corps will share with the service provider the list of specifications developed at tendering process for review prior to the bid opening session.
2. The service provider will conduct field visits to 3 MSMEs upon the delivery of the machines to confirm quality checks. The 3 MSMEs are in (1) Ras al Maten, (2) Bchamoun, and (3) Jal El Dib.
