Purpose of Assignment
The Project aims to restore 1 historical school (refer to Annex 1), and treat all the damages caused by Beirut Blast ensuring the requirements as per UNICEF’s rehabilitation standards and the restoration guidelines as per the heritage experts and in compliance with the Lebanese Directorate General of Antiquities.
Scope of Work
- Restore one private historical school listed in Annex 1 as per Tender Documents
- Handover the private school to the assigned committees which is composed of:
- UNICEF
- Private school’s organization’s committee.
- UNICEF’s consultant
within a pre-defined timeframe utilizing the budget allocated to this project.
Prior to the abovementioned handover process, the contractor should rectify all the snag lists in order to deliver the school to the consultant at first stage who therefore notify UNICEF formally in writing about the building’s readiness for the substantial handing over to its organization’s committee.
- Defects rectification during the Defects Liability Period (12 months)

UNICEF Lebanon would like to tender for Al Makassed School Restoration as stipulated in the LRPS. Hence, I am writing to invite you for Invitation to Bid No. (LRPS-2022-9174885)
You are kindly requested to quote your best price and submit your proposal by e-mail ONLY to: [email protected] not later than 12:00h, 03 June 2022; otherwise it will be considered invalid.
Proposals should be sent by email ONLY to [email protected] in two separate emails not later than 12:00h, 03 June 2022: one email for the technical proposal and one email for the financial proposal.
- Email for technical proposal:
Subject line of the email must indicate: LRPS number- name of your company- technical proposal. The email must include: The technical proposal only without prices.
- Email for price proposal:
Subject line of the email must indicate: LRPS number- name of your company- price proposal. The email must include: The price proposal.
The reference LRPS 2022-9174885 must be shown in the e-mail's subject.
Proposals sent in another manner will be invalid.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
All bidders shall attend the pre-bid meeting that will be held online on Thursday 19.05.2022 at 10:00h. Bidders are required to bring all mandatory original legal documents mentioned in para IX under Mandatory Qualification Requirements (if not recently done) which will be checked for validity. The bidders will be shortlisted for future UNICEF construction projects accordingly prior to the opening of the technical and financial proposals.
