Training on Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects for NGOs

About Lebanon Humanitarian & Development NGOs Forum (LHDF):

The Forum is an independent entity composed of local NGOs operating in Lebanon. The object is to facilitate the coordination between them and other relevant stakeholders to have an efficient response to the humanitarian and development needs in the country. The coordination role of LHDF entails building consensus among relevant local and national NGOs in Lebanon and actively facilitating cooperation among them, with public entities, donors, international community, and persons of concern. 

The LHDF administration is composed of a Secretariat and Steering Committee which includes 7 elected NGO members, with elections held on a yearly basis. The current Steering Committee Members are: ABAAD, Al Majmoua, AMEL, Ana Aqra, Caritas, FairTrade Lebanon and Skoun. In plenary, the Forum joins 75+ NGOs.

Training topic: Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects 

After an internal Training Needs Assessment exercise that has been conducted with our members, an important topic that has been identified is monitoring and evaluation of projects for NGOs.

The training will be delivered online. In terms of training specifics, we are looking at short training sessions more likely to be spread over 3 or 4 half days of 3 to 4 hours each. 

The preferred language of delivery is Arabic. 

We would like to note the importance of providing practical deliverables and action points that LHDF members could include in their organizations' procedures and strategies in the longer-term.
