Call for expression of interest – Legal Expert

arcenciel is a Lebanese based non-profit organization established in 1985 during the Lebanese civil war. It was recognized as a public interest NGO in 1995 by Presidential Decree N7541.

With five core programs, being implemented at 12 centers across Lebanon, arcenciel’s main goal is to work with every person in need.

arcenciel aims to vigorously advance national policies in all the sectors in which it is active, while keeping a non-confessional and apolitical stance.

arcenciel is implementing a baseline assessment on battery waste management for the EU funded project "Retrofitting of public buildings through green technologies and processes" (RE-FIT). arcenciel is looking for a legal expert to contribute to the study that aims at building a comprehensive analysis of the current and potential batteries value chain in Lebanon.

The Legal Expert will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Review, analyze and summarize the existing legal, regulatory and institutional framework related to battery management.
• Provide recommendations on existing legal framework
• Participate into consultations with key stakeholders
• Draft some proposals for an upgraded legislative framework.
