Project Coordinator

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES:

• Identify Community Based Organizations and Institutes that work with youth who may provide candidates to join the informal oversight Committees (IOC)
• Engage with municipalities to ensure buy in, but also support and guidance on active groups, committees or citizens (women and youth).
• Develop selection criteria in order to select IOC members;
• Assess capacities of IOC members and develop a capacity building plan for IOC members;
• Lead the capacity building plan with support from the social cohesion consultant;
• Conduct regular meetings with members in order to discuss dividors and connectors in the targeted communities and come up with 3 interventions;
• Support IOC members in developing and submitting initiatives/project suggestions to meet identified needs in their communities
• Facilitate discussion and brainstorming sessions between different members on priority needs, social cohesion and project designs and ensure that minutes of meetings (MoM)
• Conduct a baseline (rapid needs) assessment to guide the capacity building process of the IOC and in order to identify the dividers and connectors in the targeted communities. (including developing the methodology, sampling and tools);
• Manage and train a team of data collectors during the baseline assessment
• Prepare for an event to disseminate the baseline findings and kick off the project;

• Ensure that all project documents and compliance is ensured in the field (attendance sheets, meetings of meetings, data entries, etc., ).
• Identify opportunities for future funding based on engagement with stakeholder in targeted areas

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluent in Arabic and English is a must;
• Bachelor degree in social sciences related field or other related degree
• Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team
• Preference to candidate with field experience in Bekaa area
• Ability to cope and work under pressure with strict deadlines
• Excellent communication, reporting, and pro-active negotiation skills
•    Skilled at working with local communities and authorities
•    Two years experience in a similar related job (preferable)
• Experience in project implementation, field monitoring and report writing
• Willing to travel within different areas in the Bekaa and to the main office in Dbayeh
