Founded in 1973, Trócaire is the Irish member of the Caritas Internationalis federation and we operate in Lebanon under the umbrella of Caritas Lebanon. As one of Ireland’s top INGO’s, having over 40 years of experience in international development, Trócaire works with partners and is a member of worldwide networks such as Caritas and CIDSE. 

Together we bring a positive and lasting change for a just world. Trócaire works in up to 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. We work towards five goals: 

•          Promote Access to Justice. 

•          Achieve Climate & Environmental Justice. 

•          Ensure Women & Girls’ Protection, Voice & Influence. 

•          Save Lives and Protect Human Dignity and 

•          Mobilize the Public on the island of Ireland to achieve Global Justice.

Our work is rooted in our values of Solidarity, Courage, Participation, Perseverance and Accountability.
