“AHLAN” is a new approach to local tourism and productive economies through a network of Matbakh (home restaurants), Beit (guest homes) and Deken (farm shops) – owned by small-scale farmers and producers, across Lebanon. All projects are community-based social enterprises that aim at creating sustainable and local businesses, and providing opportunities for vulnerable youth, females and families within their communities to meet the increasing demand in the agro-tourism sector.

Souk El Tayeb is a social enterprise founded in 2004 with the goal of improving the livelihood of small-scale farmers and producers while preserving Lebanese culinary traditions and rural heritage. The Souk El Tayeb family includes various establishments such as The Farmers' Market, Tawlet restaurants, Beit guest homes, Dekenet farmers' store, and Matbakh El Kell, which was created to provide food for those in need after the Beirut port explosion in August 4, 2020.
