Salam LADC is looking to hire a part-time music teacher to run 2 music lessons per week in our Saadnayel center. Within our Social Stability activities, the music project seeks to provide fulfilling activities to children in the Saadnayel area, as well as an opportunity to promote healthy dialogue and positive relations between Syrian and Lebanese communities. We are searching for a teacher with experience teaching music, proficient in multiple instruments and willing to create a structured and effective lesson plan.

Since 2018 Salam's mobile classroom, the Bus Project has been visiting ITS' to provide Basic Literacy and Numeracy (BLN) classes. The classroom has limited space for students, and the bus attracts many more children than it can fit. The Bus Project animator and driver conducts Play with Purpose exterior to the classroom. Through educational activities the animator aims to give basic knowledge of colours, the alphabet and numbers. Simultaneously the project aims at encouraging healthy behaviour, expressing feelings in a constructive way and interacting with others respectfully.

Salam LADC is looking for a part-time Logistics Officer based in Central Bekaa.

Who are we?

Salam LADC (Salam) is an apolitical, non-religiously affiliated NGO, founded in the South of Lebanon. We provide education and livelihood support services and emergency aid to vulnerable people, regardless of their nationality, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. Operations are conducted in Beirut, Central Beqaa and Kawkaba (South Lebanon). Currently our largest operation is in Central Bekaa, where we offer a multitude of projects within our Community Centre with the addition of ad hoc projects within the local communities.

Background:

Salam LADC is a non-profit, a political and non-religious Lebanese organization. Founded in response to the July 2006 war, it first focused its actions on strengthening the capacities of the local communities and the municipalities in Southern Lebanon villages for emergency preparedness and management. Since its registration by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior Relations in March 2009, it has conducted many projects with the support of several international donors.
