Under the supervision of Livelihoods Program Coordinator, the Livelihoods Field Officer will play a pivotal role in implementing a project to support farmers in cultivating and harvesting crops after the provision of reclaimed lands. This position focuses on fostering women farmer engagement, establishing strong linkages among stakeholders, and creating cohesive community clusters to enhance productivity and sustainability. The officer will ensure the effective implementation of activities, capacity building, and stakeholder coordination to achieve project goals.

Under the supervision of the Livelihoods Program Manager and Livelihoods Program Coordinator, the Agricultural Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of efficient irrigation systems and water storage solutions tailored to the specific needs of crops, soil, and climatic conditions. A core focus of this role is the rehabilitation and establishment of lined ponds, alongside designing integrated irrigation networks to promote sustainable agricultural practices. The position requires extensive fieldwork and movement in the North area.

Under the supervision of the Public Health Officer, Relief International’s nurse will ensure elderly patients receive appropriate care at the supported PHCCs, particularly focusing on non-communicable diseases (NCDs). He/she will coordinate follow-up visits for elderly patients after consultations, ensuring continuity of care. Additionally, the nurse will work closely with health facilities, to ensure that patients requiring secondary health care services, receive the necessary medical treatment and hospitalization.

Under the supervision of the Nutrition Officer, the Nutrition Assistant will support the nutrition officer in the Cash-For-Nutrition (CFN) program by conducting the vulnerability assessments, organizing validation exercises and providing Social Behavior Change (SBC) sessions on maternal and child nutrition to the selected participants.

The Nutrition Officer will play a critical role in implementing Cash for Nutrition (CFN) program. The job holder will be responsible of identifying eligible families for the CFN, assist in the vulnerability assessments, organize validation exercises and provide Social Behavior Change (SBC) sessions on maternal and child nutrition to selected participants.

The Quality Control Officer, under the supervision of the Health Program Coordinator, will be responsible for managing the Quality Improvement Plans for RI’s supported Primary Health Care Center (PHCC) in Bekaa. The Quality Control Officer will oversee the quality of services provided at the PHCC in accordance with an action plan and checklist against quality indicators. Additionally, the Quality Control Officer will ensure quality standards are met for secondary health care activities at the supported Hospital in Baalbek.

Outreach Worker will be responsible for supporting, gathering, monitoring and collecting data needed to implement the project. The OW will be conducting site visits to three village in the Akkar region.

About the Project
The Sustainable Fodder Production for Livestock Resilience in Akkar project, funded by the UN World Food Program and implemented by Relief International (RI), aims to enhance the resilience and livelihoods of small-scale livestock farmers in Akkar, North Lebanon. The project focuses on improving fodder production through land reclamation, developing irrigation infrastructure, and introducing high-nutritious animal feed and climate-resilient fodder crops. It also promotes gender equity and economic inclusion.
