The Lactation Specialist will be responsible for providing support and counseling to mothers who are experiencing breastfeeding challenges, residing at collective shelters or in the community. The Lactation Specialist will be responsible for providing support and counseling to mothers who are experiencing breastfeeding challenges, residing at collective shelters or in the community. The Nutrition Officer will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful implementation of all national-level nutrition activities, particularly those related to Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), malnutrition and Mother-Baby Corner (MBC) establishment. The Nutrition Officer will ensure high-quality program delivery by adhering to protocols, best practices, and actively engaging communities.

Under the supervision of the public health officer, Relief International’s nurses will ensure pregnant women receive adequate hospital care to whom they will also coordinate post-natal visits after discharge. They will also work with health facilities to ensure that referred children get the necessary medical services in secondary health care settings.

Under the supervision and guidance of the MMU Officer, the field supervisor will ensure smooth implementation of the outreach activities by the supported MMUs in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North and Beqaa. The field supervisor will work closely with the Field Medical Coordinator, and Nutrition Coordinator to ensure the continuing integration of RI’s activities at the health facilities

The Field Medical Coordinator will ensure and oversee all MMU components implemented according to the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and WHO quality standards in addition to coordinating with the other program staff. The Field Medical Coordinator will provide a critical function within a project designed to support primary health care for
