Plan International Lebanon is seeking an Inclusion and Disability consultant to develop programmatic guidelines and build the capacity of Plan's and partners' staff in ensuring inclusion mainstreaming in its programmes. (Please refer to attached ToR for further details)

Plan’s Assessment is designed to determine priority needs and risks and to guide the current and future programming to serve the most vulnerable children and communities in Lebanon and mainstream key gender and protection approaches across all Plan International’s response.

Cash-based interventions can transform the humanitarian sector by providing more efficient and effective support to people in the face of disaster and crisis. It plays an important role in helping them recover from the negative impacts of disaster and crisis like the economic crisis that Lebanon is currently facing. Cash can be used as an effective tool to get desired results in protection programming, in education and to achieve gender equality, which is one of the thematic areas that Plan International is proud to be associated with.

Funded by the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), Plan International, in partnership with Namaa in Jordan and Himaya in Lebanon, has implemented a 3-year project scheduled to conclude in December 2021. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the reduction of forced child labour in agriculture in Jordan and Lebanon and protect children’s human rights.

The project responds to the education and child protection needs of the most vulnerable children amongst Syrian refugees and Egyptian host communities in Greater Cairo, Alexandria and Damietta. The project aims to contribute to improved access to and quality of education and to a protective environment through support to vulnerable households as well as Syrian learning centers.

Plan International Lebanon are looking to support children that are affected by the blast in Beirut area with a student kit. The student kit will ensure that all children have the needed supplies and stationery in light of all the challenges. The student kits will be tailored to fit the students’ age groups per different cycle. Plan is looking to ensure that 16,632 children and 55 schools will have the needed supplies to support in learning outcomes of children affected by the said incident. The supplies will be procured and distributed for the academic year 2021.

Due to the economic situation and inflation the is currently occurring in the Lebanese economy Plan International Lebanon will look to support children that are affected by the blast in Beirut area with a student kit that will ensure that all children have the needed supplies and stationery in light of all the challenges. The student kits will be tailored to fit the students’ age groups per different cycle. Plan will work to ensure that 16632 children and 37 schools will have the needed supplies to support in learning outcomes of children affected by the blast.

Plan International Lebanon, under its emergency education component, is engaged in the rehabilitation of the school "Sainte Louise - Clemenceau" following the Beirut Blast. The intended work includes: repairs of damaged doors and windows, electricity work, and renovations to the toilets and sewage system in order to be able to welcome students in a safe and appropriate learning environment.

Plan believes that education on sexual reproductive health and rights can help adolescents and young people develop the capacity for healthy and respectful relationships. PIan’s aim under the SRHR strategy is that girls and young women, supported by boys and men, will be empowered to take informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and live free from gender-based violence.
