Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 1993. We provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict, and we promote economic development, promotion of good governance at a local and national level, and women’s rights through our work with our partners. Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalized women and men.

The baseline study will be focused on health care service providers located in the Tripoli area. Oxfam in Lebanon has already received approval from the Ministry of Public Health to conduct baseline assessments at the following Primary Health Care Centres (PHCCs) in Tripoli: Al Rahma PHCC in Abou Samra, Dahr Al Moghor PHCC and Makaram PHCC in Mina.

SEE Change (Oxfam) aims to increase the impact of social entrepreneurial activities in Lebanon, creating employment and social stability opportunities, and supporting the local economy. By strengthening the Social Enterprises (SEs) and the Social Entrepreneurship support organizations (SESOs) to respond to the social and economic situation in Lebanon.
For this purpose, actions are taken on different levels to achieve the overall goal “to contribute to social stability and local economy of the targeted areas”

One of Oxfam in Lebanon’s main priorities is the promotion of partnerships and local humanitarian leadership. We are seeking a consultant to develop a partnership roadmap for Oxfam in Lebanon (OiL) that (1) reviews OiL existing partnership portfolio - defines types of partnerships currently undertaken, (2) defines OiL’s partnership portfolio capacity in light of resources and funding (3) outlines different partnership modalities – including partnership areas to explore of for the country office while accounting for feminist principles and approaches.

Oxfam in Lebanon’s work is guided by a 5-year vision, which aims “to protect and empower marginalized women and men (Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian populations including refugees) to enjoy their basic rights, and to enable them to live in dignity within a more equitable society.” Such a vision heavily relies on rights-based, citizen-based, intersectional, and partnership approaches in the development of the programs and projects. To implement this vision, Oxfam’s work focuses on two key programmatic work streams, namely Humanitarian and Governance and Economic Justice with policy and gender

Oxfam is an organisation that works to address the causes of poverty through campaigning and responding to the needs of the poor. In Lebanon, Oxfam works in both development and humanitarian contexts, focusing particularly on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Protection and Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods. In responding to the Syrian Refugee Crisis, Oxfam addresses the emergency water needs through WaSH service provision to populations residing in informal settlements; and to those of the Lebanese host communities and local authorities through efforts to improve water infrastructur

Oxfam’s response includes water trucking services, water tank distributions, and water quality monitoring; provision of family latrines with gender-sensitive considerations and for persons with special needs, construction of grey water systems, and latrine desludging services; in addition to raising awareness around public health issues in local partners.
