Education Assistant

Purpose
To insure the implementation and follow up of the activities carried out in the public schools or in the centers:
 
 
Assignments and functions:

Conduct outreach activities to reach out to parents, caregivers and children in order to enroll them in NFE or formal education (regular continuous outreach, BTS etc.)
Collect data of all the information regarding the child placement and follow up tests and other information related to the project activities
Take care of the administrative/logistic needs of the schools and/ or the centers ensuring that the activities are carried out in compliance with the curriculum
Guarantee the correct functioning of the transportation and snack service, and delivery of any learning material.
Organize regular CEC meetings with parents in public schools and parents sessions/ meetings in the centers.
Follow up regularly the activities in the schools by using the tools provided in the project and prepare small reports for the management if requested
Maintain good and regular relationships with school directors
Identification of children with special needs and referral to case managers
Suggest and plan extra curriculum activities to be implemented inside or outside the learning spaces (schools and centers).
Coordinate with the education specialist for the follow up of the teachers if requested
Participate in project staff training with other AVSI staff
Perform other duties within areas of responsibility as requested by the supervisor
