The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.

 

We are seeking an Employability Skills Trainer & Coach to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:

  • Attends the ToT session and makes sure the material disseminated is understood for an effective implementation.         
  • Ensures the OST training sessions are effectively delivered in reference to the OST Curriculum explained during the ToT and in a timely manner in line with the program operational timeline.         
  • Effectively conducts the career guidance training sessions ICP) revolving around CV Writing, Cover Letter development, Organizational Management, Job description analysis, Job interview preparation, LinkedIn Profile development and other topics during a 3 hours session for each participant.    
  • Ensures the implementation of any MEAL tool communicated by the Coordinator as deemed necessary ( Pre and Post if needed)         
  • Creates Zoom links and shares them with the participants for the timely implementation of each online training session (OST) and individual coaching sessions (ICP).         
  • Shares the OST materials with the participant's "Powerpoint presentation, Scoring sheet, booklet, etc" and makes sure it is effectively understood during the sessions to eliminate any kind of misunderstandings in terms of knowledge acquisition         
  • Conducts effective follow up on the ICP sessions to make sure the coaching given on a one on one basis has been beneficial to the participant          
  • Provides the professional input on the technical course that needs to be given to each participant, whether the Program Management or the Business Intelligence and communicates it to the Program Coordinator and Officer.      
  • Delivers interactive sessions while using engaging learning tools to sustain the interest and commitment of the participants         
  • Records the attendance of youth and ensures an accurate follow up with the Program Officer on the absenteeism rate so the officer ensures a close follow up on the reasons and justification behind it to be reported to the coordinator and to top management when the reasons are red flagged.         
  • Records each of the OST & ICP sessions and shares the recording with the participants and program officer.       
  • Monitors youth performance and engagement to the sessions and relays important observatory notes to the coordinator regarding youth behavior i.e. unethical manner of youth, bad influence on his/her peers etc         
  • Maintains confidentiality of the OST training material & ICP content of the 3 hours given to each youth on a one on one basis as communicated by the Program Coordinator         
  • Guides and trains participants in job seeking, application procedures, CV writing, interview preparation, and job retention skills and attitudes with practical examples and mock exercises.       
  • Follow up with the youth frequently to check their job application process and their assignment progress.         
  • Supports the Program Coordinator with training & coaching related administrative tasks. 

 

Education: 

Preferable to have a Degree in Human Resources Management, Management, or any related field.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a life skills/employability trainer.
  • Proven HR experience (especially to be able to conduct interviews, answer NSSF and Labor Law questions)
  • Proven experience in content creation and curriculum design. 
  • Preferably to be a Certified Employability Trainer
  • A professional background in Training on various topics as indicated in the OST Curriculum and the ICP one on one sessions.
