The Covid19 pandemic has extensively and adversely impacted the aid architecture, at a time when the lifesaving assistance to population facing natural disasters or protracted crises is most needed. Local organisations are facing further marginalisation at a time when they are at the forefront of the response, be it Covid19 health response or economic or other crises caused during this period.
The World Bank Group has partnered with Berytech and the Lebanese League for Women in Business (LLWB) to provide capacity building in times of crisis for women who want to grow their businesses and enhance their business model, marketing, financing, and networking opportunities, as well as learn how to be resilient in the face of crisis.
Berytech has announced that applications for batch four (4) of its Agrytech Accelerator Program are now open, and that the program’s team has worked with multiple stakeholders in the agri-food sector to identify real-life challenges that need immediate innovative solutions.
In light of our previous statements that have repeatedly voiced the importance and urgency of universal social protection, we, the collective of social protection experts, maintain that subsidisation or de-subsidisation are not the solutions for addressing long lasting inequality and inequity in the country. In the current crises that Lebanon is witnessing, we reiterate the urgency to enact a comprehensive universal social protection framework, based on a social contract, and guaranteeing protection for all during their life-cycle.

Known for its unwavering help, Charity Donation always takes the lead aiding needy especially in uncertain times with its ongoing year-long Help Campaigns.
This press release compiles all the campaigns and donations done by Charity Donation during the months of July and August.
This project intends to increase access of paediatric palliative care services to 300 children and teenagers in the rural communities in Jubek state of South Sudan where paediatric and youth health care services are limited. This will be achieved through providing holistic palliative care services to patients and their families aimed at improving quality of life. This project will ensure that children have access to essentials drugs, basic care, play therapy and investigations at New site Health Centre, home and hospital visits and outreach program in communities. The project will also contribute to the overall goals and aspirations of SDGs including improved health, empowerment of women and enhanced life of a child.
The Alliance for Empowering Partnership (A4EP) celebrates with pride the achievements of local heroes. في إطار فعاليات أسبوع "أصوات الشباب ومستقبل اللاجئين من وفي العالم العربي" التي خصصتها منظمة النهضة العربية للديمقراطية والتنمية (أرض) للاحتفاء باليوم العالمي للاجئين وتسليط الضوء على أحوال اللاجئين في المنطقة العربية، وضمن برامجها البحثية التي تسعى لإيصال أصواتهم، أطلقت منظمة النهضة (أرض) دراستها الإقليمية بعنوان "أصوات اللاجئين الفلسطينيين الشباب في أنحاء الشرق الأدنى: المشاركة والتطلعات الاجتماعية والسياسية".
أطلق منتدى المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية في الأردن والتحالف الوطني الأردني للمنظمات غير الحكومية (جوناف) إصداراً خاصاً بشهر حزيران/يونيو 2020 من تقرير ترجمة الأقوال إلى أفعال والمتعلق بجوانب التقدم والتحديات التي تواجهها الحكومة الأردنية والمجتمع الدولي في الوفاء بالالتزامات المتفق عليها بموجب الميثاق الأردني ومؤتمرات بروكسل اللاحقة المنعقدة في الأعوام 2017 و2018 و2019.
وكما في السنوات السابقة، ينصب تركيز إصدار شهر حزيران/يونيو 2020 من تقرير ترجمة الأقوال إلى أفعال على التعليم وسبل كسب الرزق والحماية والصحة، ويعتمد اعتمادًا كبيرًا على كل من مشاورات المجتمع المدني وتقرير تقييم المرصد المستقل لشهر نيسان/أبريل 2020. كما يسلط الضوء على العوائق التي يتعرض لها اللاجئون السوريون باستمرار، والإجراءات التي يستطيع المجتمع الدولي والحكومة الأردنية اتخاذها لمواجهة هذه التحديات.
