Background:
MOSAIC is a holistic and interdisciplinary program committed to improving the health and wellbeing of disempowered communities in Lebanon and the MENA/SWANA region overall. Through its national presence and its regional and international networks, MOSAIC's strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in friendly communities and national systems. Founded by activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC provides specialized and sensitive mental health services (drama and art therapy included), psychosocial support, capacity development and awareness sessions for LGBTIQ+ individuals in addition to protection services including case management and legal services ranging from consultations to representation if necessary.
Scope of Work:
The scope of work for a communications officer typically encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at effectively and efficiently communicating the organization's mission, vision, values as well as activities and impact to various stakeholders.

Furn El Chebbak, Mount Lebanon
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Communications Officer will be responsible of the following:
- Conducting field visits as needed to support MOSAIC's communications;
- Developing and disseminating public relations materials that increase MOSAIC visibility among stakeholders, including designing anual and donor reports;
- Sharing regular content updates based on program developments (announcements, article links, stories, visuals, news and events) and the organization's mandate;
- Coordination with comms of different stakeholders and partners
- Developing and implementing communications and media strategies for the project:
- Creating ideas and content for Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, depending on the activities and needs of the project,
- Website management,
- Design of the materials,
- Writing/editing content (English, Arabic) for all communication channels (press releases, news, stories, project updates, success stories, preliminary scripts, etc.);
- Reporting media outreach activities and field visits on a regular basis to the program manager and MOSAIC director.
Qualifications and Experience
1. At least a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or other related fields
2. At least 2 years of experience in communications and media.
Skills include:
- Full proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic is mandaory. French is a plus.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tactics
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Proficency in the use of social media (LinkedIn, Instagram)
- Design skills
- Minimum knowledge on gender, LGBT and advocacy topics
