Reports To: Procurement & Logistics Coordinator & Operations Manager
Job Purpose: The Logistics Officer and Center Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of logistical support and overseeing the daily operations and administration of the center. This includes managing supply chains, transportation, inventory, and assets, coordinating activities, managing staff, and maintaining the center’s facilities. The role ensures compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements while fostering a supportive and efficient environment for delivering services and programs to the community. Acting as a liaison between the center, participants, and other stakeholders, the Logistics Officer and Center Coordinator contribute to the overall success of the organization's mission to provide humanitarian aid and development programs to vulnerable communities.
Major Activities:
Logistics:
- Ensure compliance with B&Z's Logistics Handbook, other B&Z policies, and donor requirements in all procedures and processes.
- Coordinate with various units to ensure that all requests adhere to B&Z’s policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Project Managers in the assigned area and ensure timely delivery of items to concerned recipients.
- Maintain awareness of logistics-related actors, services, and opportunities in the location to update management on new services available in the region that can support the center’s needs.
- Handle logistics and procurement issues related to the Small Grants Project.
- Ensure regular payments for rent, utilities (electricity, water, gas, etc.), and running costs in coordination with the center’s accountant/finance officer.
- Manage assets within the center, ensuring accurate record-keeping before providing them to the finance unit and Ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Ensure safe and efficient transport of materials/goods.
- Participate in Call for Tender process from start to finish and review with the P&L Coordinator
- Manage all maintenance needs for the center.
- Ensure adherence to the code of conduct and standards of Basmeh & Zeitooneh.
- Maintain administrative professionalism, ensuring all necessary documentation, transfers, and donor filing are properly documented and up-to-date.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for drivers and helpers at the center.
- Maintain direct contact with specific suppliers based on internal division.
- Manage driver and the center’s vehicle movement in coordination with the fleet Supervisor.
- Coordinate all the center's needs (refreshments, supplies, utilities).
Center Coordination:
- Provide leadership and coordinate the implementation of all community center projects.
- The Center Coordinator is responsible for staying informed about all projects implemented in the center. This includes participating in all kick-off and closure meetings and staying updated during weekly meetings.
- Coordinate all activities within the center and ensure all projects have the tools, space, and resources necessary to carry out the necessary project activities.
- Develop a comprehensive context analysis for the area of focus and update it every month based on changes in the context to be used as a base for planning interventions.
- Conduct a full stakeholder mapping for the area of intervention and design engagement plans with each of them and lead the updating of the service mapping for the area of operation
- Lead the needs assessment exercise at the center level and actively participate in developing a needs assessment framework and tools.
- Utilize available resources to support visits by donors and delegations in compliance with administrative instructions on official visits.
- Attend working groups and inter-agency meetings, representing B&Z in meetings and events in the area.
- Conduct a weekly meeting with the center staff, including MOM.
- Participate with the Program and Development units in CN and proposals, providing input related to context, risk analysis, and conflict sensitivity, and participating in lessons learned events.
- Lead all kinds of projects to be implemented in the area, including emergency response, distribution, small projects with limited budgets, and special requests related to CN or proposals, and follow the SOP.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the staff, especially during the implementation of activities and projects.
- Keep the Emergency Preparedness Planning Tool Updated on Center Level.
People Management: Coordinate with various departments and ensure that the requests presented adhere to B&Z’s policies & procedures.
Miscellaneous: Upon request, perform any other additional duties assigned by the P&L Coordinator to allow the organization to function optimally.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position
