ABOUT INJAZ LEBANON
INJAZ Lebanon is a non-profit organization, an affiliate of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, with a mission to equip youth with the skills and mindset they need to become entrepreneurs and business leaders stimulating their communities. It is also a member of INJAZ Al-Arab, a regional network of 14 countries across the MENA region. INJAZ Lebanon delivers programs in partnership with the business sector focusing on entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.
ABOUT CATALYST
CATALYST is a dynamic program designed to ignite positive change among North Lebanon's youth, catalyzing transformation with a specific focus on gender dynamics and sustainable community building. Catalyst is part of the PCL project that is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). PCL is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and in cooperation with INJAZ Lebanon and the municipalities of Al Minaa, Bourj El Yahudiyeh, Deir Ammar, Kfarhelda, Mishmish, and Tripoli.
Overview
After successfully completing 5 days of training on Sustainability and Circular economy and 5 days training on communication and presentation skills as part of the CATALYST Project -CUWA Track – 10 participants have been chosen as retained facilitators for Injaz Lebanon. INJAZ Lebanon is seeking experienced trainers for a workshop on Green Basics, (Each trainer will conduct two classes, ten sessions with a total duration of three hours per day total of 30 hours per training) to support and guide these facilitators in delivering the green basics training. The training delivered by facilitators will engage women aged between 35 and 60, active in their communities to explore and implement green practices in their households, businesses, communities. Its main goal is to empower participants with practical skills to build a campaign around the mentioned topic and effectively pitch their ideas after bridging wisdom and innovation through an intergenerational interaction.
Objectives
- Act as a role model for the selected facilitators to effectively deliver Green Basics training to women aged 35-60.
- Support facilitators to encourage women participants in exploring and implementing eco-friendly and circular practices within their households, businesses, and communities.
- The trainer will support the facilitator by providing real-time guidance on fostering effective collaboration, ensuring the facilitator acquires practical skills to encourage teamwork and cooperation during live sessions.
- Ensure the successful transfer of practical skills that support the adoption of green practices and contribute to long-term environmental stewardship in the targeted communities.
- Support the participants in presenting their campaign in a unique way.
- Ensure that participants gain practical skills to adopt green practices, helping them make lasting environmental improvements in their communities.
Scope of Work
The trainers will be responsible for helping and guiding the facilitators in delivering training on green basics in Arabic using training materials prepared by Injaz Lebanon. They will provide the chosen facilitators with the knowledge and tools needed to conduct effective training on green basics for women participants. The trainers will ensure that the training is interactive and practical, guiding the facilitators to engage participants and promote a collaborative learning environment. They will also assist the facilitators in supporting the women participants in developing their ideas for eco-friendly practices, focusing on creating effective awareness campaigns and presentations, while also facilitating intergenerational interactions. Throughout the workshop, the trainers will provide ongoing support, address challenges, and give feedback to both the facilitators and participants. Upon completion, the trainers will evaluate the program's effectiveness, gather feedback, and prepare a report summarizing the results, challenges, and recommendations for future courses.
Role and Responsibility
The role and responsibilities of the Green Basics trainer would be outlined as follows:
- Support the facilitators to deliver engaging and interactive sessions that emphasize the practical application of green practices and eco-friendly solutions in real-world settings.
- Support the facilitators to help the participants through the process of developing and implementing green initiatives, including how to plan sustainable practices in their homes, businesses, and communities.
- Facilitating discussions and activities that encourage participants to apply green principles to their specific campaigns and practices.
- Providing individualized support and feedback to the facilitators during the training sessions to help them assist participants in refining their understanding and application of green practices, preparing them for successful implementation in their communities.

In addition to facilitating the training, the selected trainer will be responsible for consolidating the insights, and recommendations, generated during the workshop into one comprehensive report/document:

Qualifications
- The applicant should have a degree in Environmental sciences, Agriculture engineering, and Communication, Public Speaking, Business, or related fields.
- The applicant should have at least 4 years of relevant work experience in training, coaching on sustainability and environmental topics.
- Any recognized certifications in sustainability, or related fields are a plus.
- The applicant should have strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to motivate individuals.
- Ability to multi-task and to work a flexible or alternative workweek schedule based on project needs.
- Availability to deliver the workshops until the end of January 2025.

The service provider will be selected based on:
- Relevant Work experience in the field, and portfolio.
- Certificates.
- The financial proposal.
