Based in Jordan, Lebanon Or Palestine, with ability to travel to all three countries. The selected candidate has to be able to travel to all three countires.
- Act as the HR lead in Jordan and Supervise country HR Personnel in Lebanon, and Palestine (West Bank, Gaza, E. Jerusalem), providing oversight, guidance, and support to ensure effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Serve as HR advisor to country HR Personnel, offering guidance on recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, grievances, and investigations, ensuring alignment with local labor laws and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with country HR Personnel to assess HR needs and develop tailored solutions that support both organizational and staff goals.
- Advise on performance management, including feedback systems, employee development, and improvement plans.
- Support the Global HR Director in the development of regional HR policies that reflect global best practices while considering local needs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws across the three countries, advising on employment contracts, benefits administration, and legal risks.
- Support the Global HR Director in workforce planning, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and forecasting future staffing needs.
- Provide consultation on compensation and benefits structures, ensuring they are competitive within local markets and consistent with internal equity.Foster a positive organizational culture by advising country HR Personnel on employee engagement initiatives that enhance retention and employee satisfaction.
- Play a major Role and act as a key advisor on sensitive matters such as investigations, employee grievances, and disciplinary actions, ensuring confidentiality and swift resolution.
- Oversee full-cycle HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, performance management, learning and development, and off boarding across the region.
- Ensure that all departing staff complete exit interviews, and provide insights for continuous organizational improvement.
- Monitor HR metrics across the region and provide regional leadership with insights on trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.Ensure HR practices promote gender equality, diversity, and inclusion (GEDI) across all levels of the organization.Maintain accurate records of personnel actions, compliance documentation, and benefits administration.
- Oversee and optimize the use of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) across the region, ensuring efficient management of employee data, payroll, benefits, and performance records, ensuring all HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and off boarding, are effectively documented and managed within the HRIS.
- Support the Global HR director to analyze HRIS data to provide insights and trends to regional leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Skills
- Relevant INGO experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional HR certification (HRCI, SHRM, or equivalent).
- 12+ years of HR experience, with at least 6 years in a strategic, advisory HR role, preferably in the Middle East.Proven experience in supervising and leading HR Personnel across multiple countries.
- Demonstrated expertise in advising regional leaders on complex HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
- Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations in Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the regional level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic solutions.
- Fluency in English and Arabic preferred, with proficiency in other regional languages considered an asset.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide advice in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Ability to travel to Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine is a must.
