Introduction:

Action Against Hunger, is a humanitarian non-governmental international organization committed to taking action against the root causes and consequences of hunger through both advocacy and programming initiatives in Lebanon.  We offer development support and humanitarian responses, addressing the fundamental needs of both incoming and host populations. We operate across the country but in the Bekaa Valley, our focus includes the delivery of water and sanitation services, hygiene promotion, food security, nutrition, and emergency interventions.

ACF is gathering a pool of interested daily workers to support our emergency operations in the Bekaa and Baalbek Hermel governorates as (Daily Worker- WASH, Nutrition, FSL and Basic assistance - Zahle ), based on need and available funds.

· Implement the daily field activities for the project under the supervision of ACF Field Officer/Supervisor and deliver objectives and tasks on-time and to a high quality.

· Collaborate with the team in a highly efficient manner, prioritizing needs and targets, and reporting in a clear and concise manner on the progress.

· Provide support to the project teams for the assessment of WASH/Shelter/FSL, Nutrition and Basic Assistance needs and related response activities.

· Oversee and be responsible for the delivery of assistance at the collective shelter and community level, coordinating with other field teams as needed, and ensuring progress towards common goals.

· Identify and respond to Emergency and implement activities at collective shelters and community level for Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) and affected population in the red zones.

· Ensure WASH/Shelter/FSL and BA response is aligned with Inter-Agency Sector standards.

· Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the daily worker’s abilities.

· Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan.

· Promote safe and equitable environments, through knowledge and application of the protocol against harassment and gender policy.

· Knowledge and compliance with ACF code of conduct and safeguarding policy

4. Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Knowledge in any of the below:

- Cash based program

- Nutrition

- Food security

- Water supply and sanitation supply systems.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks covering different objectives simultaneously to a high quality

· Knowledge of direct community work with vulnerable or at-risk communities

· Experience in the humanitarian sector is desirable

· Ability to work in a team

· Ability to manage stress effectively

· Ability to manage time and priorities well

· Clear communicator with excellent inter-personal skills

· Ability to work with a degree of autonomy on set tasks

· Fluent Arabic, Fluency in written and spoken English

· Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and good skills in smart phones

· National- Based in Zahle

5. Remuneration Package:

· Daily wage:

Full Working Day 35 USD A Total of 6 working hours per day

Half Working Day 18 USD A Total of 3 Working hours per day

· Working days:

Maximum 9 days/month according to the Lebanese labor law

· Work Accident Insurance
