About the Civil Society Enablement unit:

The CSEU at Basmeh & Zeitooneh started in 2018 to develop the capacities of local community-based organizations, civil society organizations, and initiatives to enhance their skills and provide them with the necessary support that addresses community issues and focuses on enhancing awareness and empowering individuals and groups in civil society.

About the Project:

In light of the importance of social media in our lives, the Civil Society Enablement Unit is looking for social media trainers in various sectors, trainers must be equipped with the necessary knowledge in the civil society organizations’ needs to navigate and implement the required goals in this field. This training is designed to empower organizational staff and abilities to effectively enhance social media campaigning knowledge in the following four topics (one trainer is needed for each topic):

1. Media Literacy.

2. Social Media Management and Campaigning.

3. Content Creation.

4. Media Production and Creative Writing.

Scope of Work:

- Training Duration: The training will span a period of 3-4 days.

- Target Audience: Civil Society Organizations.

- Conducting one-on-one coaching sessions with each participating CSOs, offering personalized guidance and addressing specific challenges or concerns they may face while implementing their social media campaigns (coaching sessions numbers will be defined later upon each CSO needs)

Media Literacy Content Areas:

- Introduction to Media Literacy: Definitions, importance, and key concepts.

- Analyzing Media Messages: Understanding bias, propaganda, and misinformation.

- Media Influence: How media shapes public opinion and behavior.

- Digital Literacy: Navigating the digital landscape safely and effectively.

- Evaluating Sources: Assessing credibility and reliability of information.

- Media Ethics: Understanding ethical considerations in media creation and consumption.

Social Media Management and Campaigning content area:

- Social Media Platforms Overview: Understanding the functionalities of major platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

- Content Strategy: Developing engaging content that resonates with the target audience.

- Social Media Campaigns: Planning, execution, and management of campaigns.

- Analytics and Metrics: Measuring performance and effectiveness of social media activities.

- Community Management: Engaging with audiences and managing online communities.

- Crisis Management: Handling negative feedback and social media crises.

Content Creation content area:

- Content Types: Understanding various forms of content (blog posts, videos, infographics, podcasts, etc.).

- Writing for the Web: Techniques for crafting engaging and SEO-friendly content.

- Visual Content Creation: Basics of graphic design, video production, and photography.

- Storytelling: Using narratives to engage and persuade audiences.

- Content Planning: Developing a content calendar and strategy.

- Tools and Software: Overview of content creation tools and platforms.

Media Production and Creative Writing content area:

- Media Production Basics: Introduction to audio and video production.

- Creative Writing Techniques: Writing for different media (scripts, screenplays, short stories, etc.).

- Production Planning: Pre-production, production, and post-production stages.

- Technical Skills: Camera operation, sound recording, lighting, and editing. - Creativity in Production: Combining technical skills with creative vision.

- Project Management: Managing media production projects from start to finish.

Methodology:

- Training sessions will be held online.

- Collaborative discussions and scenario-based exercises.

- Feedback sessions and peer-reviewed scenario analyses.

Trainer Qualifications:

- Relevant educational background and professional experience.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to design and deliver interactive and engaging training sessions.

- Proven track record of successful training or teaching engagements.

- Capacity to provide practical examples and case studies.

Deliverables:

- Design the training curriculum and materials according to the CSO capacity assessment results and the first-party recommendations.

- Provide the training material and references in PDF.

- Prepare the training agenda and schedules.

- Deliver the agreed on training days.

- Conduct pre and post-assessment and analysis.

- Prepare and provide a training report.

- Prepare and provide a report for the coaching sessions.

- Provide a detailed invoice.

- Provide the requested trainer attendance Sheets.

- Provide a copy of ID or Passport
