The Maarouf Saad Social & Cultural Foundation was founded in 1978 and registered in 1980 - as an independent Lebanese non-governmental organization (NGO). The Maarouf Saad Social and Cultural Foundation (MSSCF) was founded to provide educational, health, and social services to all under-privileged communities. Operating without discrimination and with special attention to vulnerable groups, the organization strives to spread human and citizenship rights awareness within the communities it services. Also, MSSCF is running two primary healthcare units, one community out-reach center, and a Rescue Department Unit.

MSSCF creates social, educational, and health development programs in partnership with the local community, encouraging their participation through initiatives tailored to their needs; these include topics on healthcare, community awareness and social assistance programs, as well as children's extracurricular activities.

Job Description For Speech Therapist:

1. Monitoring and Implementing Activities:

• Conducts child screening, progress and evaluation assessment based on agreed timelines.
• Conduct re-education sessions to children of different ages and various types of functional limitation targeting objectives identified in the assessments.
• Use quantitative and qualitative assessments to assess the children’s speech and language skills.
•  Write individualized Speech and Language Therapy Reports to include the outcome and results of the assessment and the targeted objectives.

1.  Coordination and Communication:

•  Support caregivers with recommendations related to language development that are tailored based on each child’s assessment.
•  Share tips and recommendations on individualized adaptations with the inclusion social worker to support the child’s academic pathway and learning skills.
• Share and explain the Assessment Reports including the learner’s progress with the Inclusion social worker.
• Share sessions outcomes with caregivers and engage them in the therapeutic follow up of their child.
• Assess and identify other needs of referral to the child: specialized services, assistive devices, health services or any other service

 Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Speech Therapy
• At least 2 years of experience in providing Speech and Language Therapy sessions to children of various ages and with different types of difficulties/disabilities.
• Preferably previous experience working with children/refugees/vulnerable populations

 Skills and Competencies:

• Strong Social and Communication skills
• Fluent in Arabic
• Strong writing skills in English (reports should be provided in English)
• Cultural sensitivity
