Division Summary:
IDG’s International Education Division supports education development around the world by strengthening education policy, management and practice in order to achieve measurable improvement in teaching and learning. Project Summary:
USAID/Lebanon has recently awarded RTI a $97 million USD, five-year Cooperative Agreement to build on nearly a decade of investments in the education system under Quality Instruction Towards Access and Basic Education (QITABI) 1 and 2. The purpose of QITABI 3 is to further strengthen education service government systems to yield student learning improvements across all of Lebanon’s public schools (first and second shifts) and in select low cost private schools that are vulnerable and economically disadvantaged. The activity will target an estimated 350,000 girls and boys in over a thousand of Lebanon’s public schools and vulnerable, economically disadvantaged low-cost private schools and will support the education system’s overall capacity to plan, budget, deliver, monitor, evaluate and institutionalize quality educational services by providing in-depth technical assistance to the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD) and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE).
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, the Lead Coordinator will principally be responsible for the implementation and execution of the RTI Program. The Lead Coordinator will also be responsible for providing leadership, managing, and supervising the implementation of activities.
The Lead Coordinator will be in Saida, South of Lebanon.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- The Lead Coordinator will manage and supervise the Lead Facilitators team and support the implementation of QITABI 3 activities in the region of South Lebanon and Nabatieh. S/He will:
- Work closely with the Regional Manager on designated project activities.
- Lead the administrative management of the RTI regional office.
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the RTI field-based team, providing support to facilitate program implementation in a specified region.
- Oversee the regional implementation in South Lebanon and Nabatieh, offering technical support and guidance as a focal point for the RTI field team throughout program planning, execution, and reporting.
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of resources, materials, and interventions.
- Coordinate activities with school principals, CERD, and DOPS regional centers.
- Follow-up the performance management of the Learning Facilitators work and reports including but not limited to weekly/ monthly work plan and visit reports schedules and report.
- Assess the impact of field interventions, addressing challenges, and documenting best practices, lessons learned, and case studies to contribute to broader teaching and learning strategies.
- Manage knowledge, including databases and documents, ensuring data and material quality. Share all relevant documents with field staff and management.
- Coordinate the distribution of resources and materials procured by the project.
- Conduct field visits as required.
- Provide technical support and serve as a focal point to ensure the quality and timely delivery of the tracking system, database, and documentation.
- Report on regular programmatic activities and document all necessary data.
- Represent the RTI team at meetings and conferences as necessary.
- Undertake additional tasks as needed and requested by the supervisor and project management.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BA in education, or similar degree in social sciences and minimum 3 years’ experience in field management of education and development programs or MA and 1 year of experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the education sector (public and private schools).
- Proven capacity to manage, lead and coordinate at team of 5-10 persons.
- Excellent decision-making, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with local communities, partners and government authorities.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
- Ability to travel within the country.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and flexibility with project demands.
Please Note : As part of the interview process, finalist will be asked to participate in a writing exercise in Arabic and English.
