Women Now for Development invites proposals from experienced and qualified training providers to facilitate a three-day Advocacy Training program during December, for 22 women in Bekaa, Lebanon. The goal is to empower women with the necessary skills to become effective advocates for their communities. The training is expected to be intensive, with each day consisting of 6 hours of instruction, including two breaks.
Objective:
The primary objective of this advocacy training initiative is to equip women in Bekaa area with practical skills and knowledge essential for effective advocacy. The training should focus on building capabilities and enhancing participants' understanding of advocacy strategies and techniques.
Training Content:
The proposed training program should cover the following key areas:
Introduction to Advocacy:
Definition and importance of advocacy
Understanding the advocacy process
Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication
Public speaking and messaging
Policy Analysis:
Basics of policy analysis
Identifying key issues and opportunities for advocacy
Stakeholder Engagement:
Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
Collaborative advocacy approaches
Media Engagement:
Utilizing media for advocacy
Crafting and delivering effective messages to the media
Practical Exercises and Case Studies:
Hands-on activities and case studies to apply learned skills
Group discussions and role-playing scenarios
Training Logistics:
Duration: Three days
Daily Hours: 6 hours (including two breaks)
Location: Chtoura, Bekaa, Lebanon
Language: The training will be conducted in Arabic.
Expected Outputs:
Upon completion of the advocacy training, participants are expected to demonstrate the following outputs:
