Objective:

To provide specialized training to the research team on a set of key capacity-building areas including:

  • Advanced Research Methodology
  • Project Management
  • Scientific Writing and Communication
  • Grant Proposal Writing, Data Visualization
  • Understanding the Basics of Publishing a Research Article in a Journal
  • Statistical Analysis Software (e.g., SPSS)

 

Scope of Work:

The training facilitator is expected to perform the following tasks:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and develop training materials, including presentations, handouts, and practical exercises for any of the mentioned training areas.
  • Delivery: Conduct training sessions on the specified topics in an engaging and interactive manner. Ensure that the content is tailored to the skill levels and needs of the research team members.
  • Duration: The training will be conducted during the last two weeks in November 2023, with the exact number of training days to be determined and finalized in consultation with the research team. Each training module's duration should be appropriate for effective knowledge transfer. The specific training schedule will be established in coordination with the team's availability and requirements.   • Assessment: Develop and administer assessments or exercises to evaluate the participants' understanding and skills acquired during the training. Provide feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Collect feedback from participants and present a final report summarizing the training outcomes, including areas of strength and potential improvement.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

The trainer should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Extensive experience in conducting training sessions on the specified topics, with a proven track record of successful training delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of research methodologies, project management, scientific writing, grant proposal writing, data visualization, publishing in research journals, and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Experience working with research teams and a good understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • The trainer should have relevant certifications and a strong educational background in a related field.

Interested trainers are invited to submit their proposals, including a detailed curriculum vitae, a portfolio of past training engagements, and a proposed outline of the training program for each of the specified topics.
