Trainer for Advanced Presenting Skills

Shadda Media Lab was established as a media platform and shared workspace for media producers in Tripoli. Shadda's mission is to promote peace, positivity, and empathy through informative, entertaining, and realistic content. This effort aims to directly engage marginalized communities in Tripoli, providing them with a safe space for content creation and offering necessary equipment for innovative content development.

As part of the media team, a Professional a Creative trainer in this field of Media and Communication will be involved in  facilitating two days training on "Advanced Presenting Skills for Social Media Programs" for a group of 15 individuals. The training aims to provide support to the team in developing advanced experience in various methods of presenting skills, ultimately improving the content creation process for our social media campaigns.

The trainer’s focus will be on designing and conducting a training program that helps participants gain a deeper understanding and advanced experience in presenting skills. This includes areas such as voice usage, presentation techniques, physical appearance, mass communication, and body language, all aimed at enhancing modern and updated presenting skills.

The participants are academically oriented individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, with solid media experience. Therefore, we expect you to be familiar with the content's essence and ensure that the training is interactive and practical in nature.

The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and knowledge of the impact of new media platforms. You must be highly motivated, experienced, and passionate about sharing knowledge. It is crucial that the team receives training in professional skills.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop a structured training program focused on the principles of presenting short videos on social media.
• Work closely with the Media Lab coordinator to validate the Training Content.
• Teach and support the team in developing and applying professional presenting skills.
• To be familiar with the ongoing projects to align the training content accordingly.
• Ensure the training sessions are highly interactive and practical.
• Conduct the training program over the course of two full days.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the action plan and planned training to create a clear vision for the expected results and project goals.
• Coordinate follow-up activities with our mentors.
• Take into consideration the team's capabilities, available materials, and logistical aspects when designing and delivering the training.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certification and experience in the media and communication fields.
• Strong facilitation and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic language (as the training will be conducted entirely in Arabic).
• Knowledge of the different social media platforms and their video content requirements and the impact of the new media platforms.
• Experience in conducting professional skills training.
• Sensitivity to conflict-related issues and discrimination.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in media, communication, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate unexpected challenges.
• Comprehensive knowledge of effective strategies against hate speech and racism.
• Relevant degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Conditions

• Training days: 2 days – 16 hours
