1. Objective

The main objective of the CHASE youth empowerment program (Akkar Region) is to Improve the resilience of individuals, households, communities, and systems in the face of economic and climatic shocks and stressors affecting the food security, nutrition and wellbeing of Lebanese and displaced women and men in vulnerable areas. 

Specific objectives:  

• Improve ability of vulnerable groups to participate in resilience programs and increase their access to employment and income   
• Improve   performance   and   inclusiveness of   food   systems   
• Enhance   management of natural resources and enhanced climate adaptation practices 

Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL) is looking for an agricultural supplier to provide beneficiaries the needed equipment and tools to be able to improve their agricultural skills and business.

Company qualification

• The vendor must have a valid permit from all relevant ministries.

Tools Specifications

Agricultural Gloves (pair) – 60 pcs - Material: Select gloves made of durable and flexible materials, such as leather, synthetic leather, or reinforced fabric, to withstand rough handling and provide protection used for agricultural activities
Sizes: Provide a range of glove sizes to accommodate different hand sizes and ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

Agricultural Hat – 60 pcs - Material: Durable and breathable fabric (e.g., cotton, polyester, or a blend) Size: One size fits most with adjustable straps or bands. Brim: Wide brim to provide ample sun protection for the face and neck. Ventilation: Mesh panels or vents to allow air circulation and reduce heat buildup. Optional Features: Chin strap to secure the hat during windy conditions, sweatband for added comfort.

Agricultural Boots – 60 pcs - Material: Sturdy and water-resistant rubber, neoprene, or full-grain leather.
Toe Protection: Reinforced toe cap for impact protection.
Sole: Slip-resistant and durable outsole with aggressive tread patterns.
Shaft Height: Mid-calf or higher for better protection.

Requirements & conditions

• FTL will pay the VAT in LBP based on the official exchange rate approved by the government on the invoice date.
• The service provider must deliver all the items to Akkar
• The service provider may only submit offers with available items from the above list

1. Evaluation

• The bidder’s evaluation process will consider following with assigned weights:

1. Payment Terms

• Payments will be made only through bank transfer or bank cheques
• The price will be paid in USD while the VAT will be paid in LBP based on the official exchange rate on the date of the invoice.
• The vendor should have a fresh USD bank account.
