ACTED seeks to design a scalable solar PV system for the entities in Saida and Burj Hammoud (nearby areas) The facility includes a production line consisting of 5000 Watts, 220V Monophase machines for cutting pads and sewing them using ultrasonic and special steel rollers. In addition, the facility includes 220 V, 600 W heat sealing machines. Finally, general building electricity needs include lighting.

 The consultant is expected to design a fully functional PV system to be mounted on the roof for  generation of solar-power sufficient to run the facility for a minimum of 8h daily in addition to supervision the installation.

1. Key Deliverables:

• Conduct a visit to the manufacturing facility in Saida and Burj Hammoud to understand their needs and available space.
• Develop an energy usage profile and estimated consumption for the sanitary napkins manufacturing facility in Tripoli. Note that the usage profile must take into account the machine needs as well as the general building needs.
• Design a solar PV system including the inverter specifications
• Finalize ACTED’s technical specification template, and provide additional documentation as relevant including simulations, designs, renders etc.
• Supervise the installation of the Solar system.

2. Required competencies:

• Required degree in Electrical engineering or related fields.​​​​​​
• Demonstrated experience design and installation of Solar PV systems
• Required competency in English and Arabic. Knowledge of French an added advantage.

•  Documents showcasing previous solar PV systems design and installed in Lebanon
