World Vision is one of the world’s leading humanitarian development and advocacy organization and operates in nearly 100 countries worldwide, including Lebanon.

World Vision Lebanon has been working in Akkar area since 2008, targeting the most vulnerable children in Sahl Akkar, through implementing different programs in the community and made difference in the children’s lives through their participation in the projects activities that aimed to raising awareness, improve their skills and capacities, teach them about child rights and help them to advocate for their rights.

Purpose of the Consultancy

The goal is that “Akkar community takes ownership to improve the well-being of children and adolescents living in the area” and to contribute to sustained child Well-being (CWB) through effective sponsorship management and strengthen community engagement through joint planning, learning and accountability.”

Within the Livelihood component, WVL is implementing the value chain development model that aims to strengthen the ability of economically active adults in vulnerable communities in order to improve their income-earning capacity.  The model focuses on the fishing sector in Akkar targetting a total number of 60 fishermen, covering Arida And Tal Hayat villages.

The overall objective is to strengthen the ability of economically active adults in vulnerable communities in order to improve their income-earning capacity.

Payments will be made via fresh money transfer.

The Supplier needs to bear the cross-border transfer charges for an approximate amount of $45 for any sum below $10,000 and $95 for any sum above $10,000 which will be deducted directly from each transfer.

The Cross-border fees may vary depending on the Bank policies and restrictions.

Please note that the supplier that are technically qualified will be subject to price negotiations.
