PROJECT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In its fourth year, House of Peace (HOPe) aims at supporting participants from local communities to engage in social initiatives that will bring together people from different backgrounds so they meet and work together for the same goal in order to catalyse personal and social transformation that fosters social peace. In addition, HOPe works with a group of young adults from several marginalized communities, to provide them with the required technical skills and art tools to promote child and youth rights within their communities. As a community-based organisation, HOPe aims to facilitate and coordinate the elaboration of local visions of social peace-building, brought together with international experiences and support.

Because we believe that in all times, especially in times of turmoil and change, a source of peace exists in every person and every society, and all we need to do is facilitate the process for peace to emerge and blossom.

Field Officer:
Job Brief:
The program coordinator is part of the program team coordinating the Social Peace Unit that is entrusted with supporting the development of community-based dialogue initiatives with local communities, and with HOPe’s partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Activity/Field Roles:
- Media unit
- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience.
- Take a brief to grasp Hope team’s needs and specifications
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Record and edit videos for SPW activities (workshops, initiatives, events)
- Cover events or/and situations to be posted on Social Media (Facebook, website and Instagram).
- Design and write newsletters with updates about
- Support media campaigns.
- Arabic and English copywriting is a must
- Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize the user experience.
- Videos for each Hope initiative and share it on social media.
- Taking clear dynamic photos according to Hope specifications.
Social Peace Workshop (SPW) Co/Trainer:
- assist in delivering SPW with local community groups, and preparing logistics, reports, and all required documents (Attendance sheets, Baseline and Endline assessments, Workshop data form…).
- Initiative Building Activity (IBA) Co/Trainer:
- assist in delivering IBA and facilitate the development of community-based initiatives concept notes.
Initiative Supporter:
- To accompany local community groups and provide required support (content development, coordination, and logistics) to implement approved initiatives.
- Meeting note Keeper: To document the unit meetings and to share with the general unit members all important points discussed throughout the unit meeting during the general weekly meeting.
Support Roles:
- Meeting Notetaker: To write the reports, roundtables, and other attended events or team meetings in Arabic or English.
- Eco Friend: To promote and support eco-friendly practices at HOPe office in particular and the field of work in general.
Requirements and qualifications:
- The successful Officer will have the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Media, Communications, Design or related field or equivalent experience
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of social media and communication
- Good spirit.
- Perfect command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Notable time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in partnership with local communities and NGOs.
- Teamwork and cooperative attitude.
- Problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good computing skills.
- Additional requirement for non-Lebanese nationals: permit of residence in Lebanon is required.
