ABOUT THE STRUCTURE of the INGO:

Solidarités International is an International NGO working with vulnerable populations, mainly victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters. Specialized for nearly 40 years in the coverage of vital needs, S.I. takes charge of emergency and reconstruction programs.

With respect for cultures and close to the people, Solidarités International implements its programs by combining its skills with those of its employees and local managers.

Solidarités International's teams, made up of around 270 expatriates and nearly 2200 local employees, are today present in 18 countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Caribbean where they are particularly committed to fighting diseases related to unsafe water but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods.

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL is committed to improve urban infrastructure, upgrade existing urban furniture and ensure safer environments for local community in Bourj Hammoud area.

Established in France in 1980, SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, non-profit organisation.

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL intends to achieve its goal through three main activities:

1. Action 1: Organizing Electric Cables:

Replacing, Sorting, organizing and grouping power, data and Satellite TV cables for key streets in Nor Sis, Mar Doumit and Nabaa neighborhoods.

1. Action 2: Replacing Existing Street luminaires:

Replacing existing High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) streetlights with Light-Emitting Diode (LED) luminaires in all main and secondary streets across the intervention area.

1. ACTION 3: Rehabilitating Street Surfaces:

Paving some streets with very poor surface conditions and fixing potholes across the intervention area.
