RFP for an M&E Consultant

EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI) is a policy network that provides expertise in the field of gender equality and women’s rights as inseparable from democracy building and citizenship, and advocates for political solutions to all conflicts, and for the right of peoples to self-determination. EFI seeks to improve and promote women’s rights as universal human rights, the value of gender equality and the use of non-violent means to solve conflicts. Our criterion and position align with the international resolutions and conventions and regional instruments promoting the universality of women’s rights and strengthening women's impact and voices in conflict resolution.

EFI is implementing in partnership with Syrian feminist organisations and human rights organisations the programme “Supporting political transition in Syria through gender-sensitive social reconstruction”, funded by the Swedish International Development and Cooperation agency (SIDA). In the frame of the program, a platform will be established providing relevant feminist resources, studies, research, and information on feminist initiatives in Syria, for Syria and in the region.

EFI is welcoming applications from qualified consultants to provide technical support on all M&E related activities related to the Syria program as follows:

1. Enhance multi-year results and monitoring framework for the Syria program
2. Monitor and report on progress and results
3. Provide monitoring support to the staff of EFI and implementing partners
4. Document good practices and lessons learned
5. Oversee and ensure the quality of mid-term and final evaluations as well as other program-related research

The M&E consultant is expected to develop an M&E framework and guidelines for the program. The M&E consultant will also be responsible for ensuring proper implementation of M&E activities by EFI and implementing partners’ staff throughout the program timeframe. Moreover, the M&E consultant will be required to provide ongoing technical support and quality assurance to ensure that M&E activities and reporting are implemented effectively and efficiently, and harmoniously.
