Social Worker

Job Objectives: 

The Social Workers (SW) play a critical role in PCRF, as they are responsible for representing the organization on a local level, identifying and managing medical cases for treatment locally, supporting volunteer missions and humanitarian projects under the supervision of the Team Leader, and ensuring a high level of professionalism and transparency in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities: 

Field Responsibilities

Identifying Medical Cases in Need of Treatment

Develop and maintain close relationships with local NGOs and CBOs to identify possible patients and cases in need of assistance;

Communicate the role and activities of the PCRF on a continuous basis to all public and private doctors, hospital administrators, local and international NGOs, charities, women’s organizations, and local governments who deal with health care for children and related activities;

Develop complete files for cases and share it with the team leader;

Communicate in a clear and professional manner with the families of treated children the work and objectives of the PCRF; providing each family brochure in Arabic;

Submit clear and complete medical and social evaluations of the treated children and their families to the Team Leader;

Identify local medical cases to be treated by visiting missions;

Create and manage Google DRIVE folders for each and every case for treatment and share with the TL and management;

Monthly and One-Time Child Sponsorship

Evaluate sponsored cases on a monthly basis and recommend to the Team Leader those who are no longer in need of sponsorship due to age, improved medical condition, or families better economic situation or lack of cooperation with PCRF staff;

Evaluate assistance offered to the sponsored child and report to the Team Leader any changes;

Photos and videos must be taken to document assistance offered and must be submitted in good quality;

Miscellaneous  Humanitarian Projects

Locate beneficiaries and projects in need of support and submit to the Team Leader;

Participate in the distribution of humanitarian projects assistance;

Offer training sessions to the public regarding the PCRF scope of work, its programs, missions, and projects.

Administrative Responsibilities

Maintain office equipment and report changes to the Team Leader immediately;

Respect the office rules and regulations of working hours;

Obtain complete and comprehensive patient records for and  put into systems;

Provide complete and comprehensive financial expense reports on a monthly basis to the Team Leader;

Follow HR, procurement, and financial rules and policies;

Minimum Skill Requirements 

A minimum of 3 years of field experience

BA in Social Work or another related field

Fluency in using Google Apps 

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems

Communication

Fluent in written and spoken Arabic; English language is spoken adequately 

Accurately prepares written correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional across languages.

Listens to others and accepts input from team members.

Dress and speaks in a professional and polite manner to all volunteers, staff, beneficiaries, and others;
