KAFA is working on creating an open space for 3 groups of women from all over Lebanon to contribute in a dialogue on feminism, the civil war, memory, and dealing with the past for ultimate non-reoccurrence.

The project addressed women from three different generations: civil war survivors who will speak about their experiences that will be captured in a narrative product through storytelling. Participants will engage with their peers through trainings on social peace and dealing with the past to promote conflict resolution, peace, and values such as respect for human rights, equality and tolerance. Younger groups will also be supported by additional tools to enhance their capacities in social change and will be trained on theater skills that will allow them by the end of the project to create a theatrical performance based on the stories of the oldest generation.

This call is for groups specialized in theater training capable of:

-          Conducting group trainings (up to 20 participants)

-          Training groups from various backgrounds

-          Following up on administrative work and paper work with knowledge of NGO procedures

-          With a 3-year experience

By the end of the training, participants must be able to write, direct, and perform a basic theatrical performance. Among the theatrical techniques, participants will be introduced to, and acquire the following skills:

-          An introduction to scenography

-          An introduction to theater techniques

-          An introduction to theater productions

-          Develop the ability to interpret, create, and perform a character as appropriate to the demands of the performance.
