MERCY CORPS - RFP BEY 7498 - Provision of soft skills training

With funding from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mercy Corps (MC) is implementing the FORSA (Fostering Resilience by Strengthening Abilities) program in Lebanon to support vulnerable communities in addressing their economic needs.  FORSA intends to increase economic opportunities and reduce unemployment in Zahle, West Bekaa, Chouf, Jezzine and Saida.

In order to do this, FORSA is expanding employment and economic opportunities for individuals and businesses through market led skills training courses, support to micro, small and medium enterprise and building the technical capacity of vocational training centers.

Mercy Corps will hire private sector companies and/or established trainers to provide soft skills training for teachers (TOT) and include practical application of skills taught.  Training of Trainers for duration of 5 - 10 days (5-6 hours/ day) to be conducted in the upcoming months.

Mercy Corps has conducted similar training in the past and suggests having the best participant from the previous training contribute to this second edition, to the extent possible.  

Life skills training of Trainers can include, but is not limited to:

  • CV and job interviews preparation.
  • Advice on job-search techniques, preparing a CV and cover letter, interview tips
  • Communication skills and conflict resolution at the work place (with clients, with other colleagues, with supervisor
  • Time management
  • Stress management
  • Team work
