The role

Aktis Lebanon is looking for a dynamic Research Project Manager (RPM) with experience of monitoring and evaluation who wants to play a central role in multiple RME (research, and M&E) projects. The RPM will lead projects, reporting to the Technical Research Lead (TRL).

Requirements

Required competencies, skills and experience

• Right to work in Lebanon, ability to work from an office in central Beirut on a daily basis;
• Proven skills in managing project delivery: 3+ years post qualification experience in developing, delivering and managing projects for public or private sector clients;
• Minimum 1 year experience of managing and/or participating in primary research (surveys, focus groups, interviews) / monitoring and evaluation;
• Very high level of written and oral communication in English and Arabic. In particular, ability to write reports in English to a high standard;
• Willingness to travel extensively within Lebanon, potentially for 5 consecutive working days at a time; and
• Graduate degree

Desirable competencies, skills and experience

• Relevant postgraduate academic qualifications, MSc ideal;
• Knowledge of Lebanese policy context including one or more of the following: Countering Violent Extremism, civil society capacity building, securing and stabilisation issues; and
• Client engagement experience (i.e. experience of interacting with clients, ideally donors, providing updates, chairing meetings with clients present, making and/or signing off report minutes).
