WHO ARE WE?

OUR VISION:

Achieve accessible equitable eye health and vision care for all individuals across Lebanon.

OUR MISSION:

1. Defend the rights of Optometry Students, Optometrists, Opticians and Optometry Profession.
2. Ensure quality assurance in Optometric education and clinical practice.
3. Work on amending a just law for the Optometry profession.
4. Advance and promote optometry, global eye health and vision care through collaboration, education, and advocacy.

WHAT MAKES OUR TEAM SPECIAL?

Despite coming from various backgrounds & distinct areas across Lebanon & have studied at different universities, we were able to unite optometry from North to South passing by Beirut, Beqaa and Mountain.
We have a lot of common: “ A Passion for Optometry ”

2. Eastern Medditeranean Council of Optometry (EMCO)
3. Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH) 

OUR ACTIVITIES:

1. Establish a specialized scientific, medical & educational platform.
2. Organize free examination, awareness & donation campaigns.
3. Conduct webinars, conferences, workshops, scientific and statistical research.
4. Collaborate with national & International Optometry councils, academic Institution & organizations.
5. Set standards for professional qualification & Practice.

OUR ACHIEVMENTS:

1. A just law for Lebanese Optometry Profession.
2. 15 scientific webinars & 1 conference. 
3. First mobile clinic in the MENA region in terms of dimensions and equipment.
4. Free eye care assessments for 11800 patients.
5. Donations: 4380 eyeglasses, 1000 contact lens, 600 eyedrops, 72 boxes of eye vitamins. 
6. 157 Ocular surgeries in collaboration with LAUMC.
7. 17 ocular protheses for the Victims of Beirut’s explosion & demonstrations.

OUR PROGRAMS:

1. Eye care:  Mobile Clinic, School Based Vision Screening Program and Refugees Vision Screening Program
2. Education:  Scientific Webinars, Annual Conference and Workshops Legislation
3. Legislation: A just law for Lebanese Optometry Profession
4. Environment: : Donate & Recycle for Vision
5. Research:To determine the epidemiological profile of myopia and to determine the prevalence of familial keratoconus.
