SONBOLA Group for Education & Development (SONBOLA) is a startup grassroots NGO that focuses on delivering educational programs, specifically to fill the gaps of Syria’s education crisis and address the education of Syrian refugee children and youth, with a special focus on quality and sustainability.

SONBOLA is currently seeking hard-working and committed applicants for the position of a full-time Junior Accountant.

The Junior Accountant’s primary responsibility is to assist the Senior Accountant with accounting transactions and financial processing at our Learning Center in Bekaa.

The overall purpose of the Administrative Assistant position is to provide support to the management team in Beirut, through coordinating logistics and communications with Sonbola's field staff and partners. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the functioning of Sonbola's administration in order to effectively and meaningfully deliver programs. This will include efficiently managing the office, supporting the communications, day-to-day finance work and research assistance.

Sonbola is recruiting teachers for the Youth Basic Literacy and Numeracy (YBLN) program in Arabic, Math, English and Life Skills. Teachers should have demonstrated experience in either of these subjects as well as experience working with young people who are out of school and need to be provided with individualized support to improve their learning levels.

The overall purpose of the Communications Officer position is to efficiently manage the visibility of Sonbola on social media outlets, online platforms, and offline arena. The Communications Officer will be responsible for maintaining the professional image of Sonbola and promote its programs and activities.

The Junior Accountant’s primary responsibility is to assist the Accountant with accounting transactions and financial processing at our Learning Center in Bekaa.

The Junior Accountant position will be based at our Learning Center in Anjar, Bekaa.

The accountant’s primary responsibility is to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure that appropriate accounting procedures are in place.

The accountant position will be based in Beirut with monthly travels to Sonbola Learning Center in Bekaa.

Sonbola has three main programs: Taalem, Tamkeen, and Tadreeb. These programs focus on Non-Formal Education (NFE), support for Formal Education, and building the capacity and professionally empowering Syrian educators.
