Outreach Volunteers (OVs) work together under a team to support community-based Substance Use (SU); Mental Health (MH) and Psycho-Social Support (MHPSS) by offering appropriate, quality and gender-inclusive services to all people living in Lebanon, particularly the most vulnerable groups and people at risk.

Under the direct supervision of the project Manager and Skoun's director, the outreach program coordinator will be responsible for planning, cooridnating and monitoring the community outreach interventions that support Skoun's programs.

The Lebanese government pursues a repressive policy towards the use of drugs in order to reduce the illegal supply of and demand for drugs which has failed to reduce the overall market and have had no deterrent effect on drug use. Mere possession or use of drugs, even in a limited quantity, attracts a prison sentence and a fine. This approach has mainly yielded negative consequences to people who use drugs, their families, society and the state.
